Team,
…
I will not verify my identity for LinkedIn. They don’t need to verify me because there is no criminal or any court record that requires LinkedIn to first suspend me and then ask for for my identification. Punishment before a trial? Yes this is how they roll. Well, I am not their lackey plus take a look at the internet now- full of hate and fake criminal accounts galore. Identity verification does not stop any crime! This ID check is for something else; and that is, arbitrary controls.
I was on LinkedIn since 2010, and a paid premium user. LinkedIn suspended my PAID account for talking about Bill Gates at some point in 2019 and raising other issues. They never said why they suspended my account, but it is very obvious that the reason is associated with vaccine comments I made, and other political comments on social issues because I don’t believe engineers should be a one-track mind human being, a one-trick pony who only knows one subject and cannot comment of any laws, history, or pressing issues of the day. That is a half-baked human being out of Orwell’s 1984; a robot who was trained to think and live on a single track. Pretty pathetic.
Bigots…
LinkedIn is a rotten organization designed to restrict your voice and silence your contrary views because LinkedIn thinks it is a god. Well, I will not be using LinkedIn, and I will not miss it. This is why I created the FlunkedIn Newsletter and a website that is a work in progress. I bit slow moving but steady on the way.
Here is a page, down below, from the LinkedIn site telling me to Verify my identity. I will not condescend to their level of petulancy. Perhaps I should sue LinkedIn for 250,000 dollars for depriving me of a site that linked me to my professional networks and allowed be to easily job search? I may have a case, but then again there is indeed dot com, and monster dot com, and tons of other job searching tools now available. I don’t miss LinkedIn. I am excited about the flunkedIn journey. Join me!
LinkedIn is the true bigot here. There is NO requirement in any law book for identify verification when you have NO case(s)/evidence/reports/affidavits to show that there is a REAL need for identity verification. By no case I want to reiterate that:
(1) I am not a criminal. I am actually an American Citizen, naturalized when I immigrated to USA from Ukraine in 1989.
(2) LinkedIn staff has not evidence or suit against me. They are children.
(3) Neither the local, national, state, or international government has any beef against me. LinkedIn is acting arbitrarily which is to say, like a damn King. We said bye bye to King of England. The King wants back. I don’t want him back. Never.
And by the way: Twitter still allows real terrorists to comment on Twitter. Is Elon Musk going to really change anything? I think not. Change comes from educating yourself, but beyond that you must love thinking and wisdom. If the comment about the love of thinking and wisdom is already boring you, you are not for here. LOL.
Engineers, real ones, need to be superb thinkers and experts not only in the field of engineering, but to aspire to be renaissance men. Say this every day: knowledge will forever rule ignorance. Which camp are you in: the ignorant camp or the ever enlightened camp?
Knowledge is scary to the ignorant… Knowledge looks like tyrant to the ignorant… Knowledge appears like a King to the ignorant…Knowledge nourishes… Knowledge is humble.
Fair chance…
I guess to give a fair chance to LinkedIn they do say, “we take proactive actions to protect you when we detect potential unauthorized access”. The problem is not a single person from linkedIn reached out to me. I send the physical mail to their corporate address. I emailed them; I called them; I paid them for their service and I am a paid member since 2015. Since 2019 I am not a member and I am not paying them for the use of the account.
